Oh Christmas Tree

This is my favourite christmas card this year.  The stamp is a penny black tree stamped and embossed in black.  The rest of the tree has then been built up using liquid pearls and stickles glitter glue.

Once the tree was dry I mounted it onto black card and then the main card.  Added a sentiment and eh volia - happy christmas

Roses are Red

This is made with a Judikins stamp that I bought at stamp addicts.  I have colured it using watercolour pencils and then added a bit of bling in the centre of each rose with stickles glitter glue.

The background is torn red velum and finished off with red edging stickers.

Flowers in the Post

This card uses two different stamps - a Penny Black Postcard and a Elusive Images diamond background.

The background is stamped in black and then coloured using Derwent Pastel pencils.  It has then been matted onto black card and some pretty white card with pink flowers.  The postcard stamp is again stamped in black and coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils before being mounted onto the card.

Kay Carley Dragonflies

I thought I would stick with the dragonfly theme for todays card.  This is a A6 card using one of Kay Carley's beautiful dragonfly stamps.

Background: I first stamped the oriental grasses from the judikins japanese fabric cube with versamark and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Once this was cool I used Tim Holtz distress inks in shabby chutters and broken china to colour the background.  I applied the ink to the card using cut and dry foam making sure to keep the foam flat and the straight edge parallel to the cards straight edge.  This prevents lines appearing on your card and gives a blended background.  Once the whole card is coloured use a baby wipe on the embossed grasses to remove any extra ink and make the images pop off of the card.

Main Image: I stamped this onto smooth white card using black StazOn ink.  I needed to use a permanent solvent-based ink as it needed to be waterproof.  Once the ink was dry (could of minutes) I used Derwent aquatone pencils and a water brush to add the colour.  I then cut the image out and mounted onto the background using 3D foam squares to give the card dimension.

Dragonflies

This card uses a beautiful unmounted stamp by The Artful Stamper that contains three dragon flies with small flowers.  I have stamped the image and embossed with a rustique embossing power from Judikins and then water coloured using Derwent pencils.
